I am currently studying in a part-time capacity at the School of Physics, and am in the final year of completing my PhD. I earned a Bachelor of Science with Honours (Physics) at »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ Sydney, where my Honours research was focused on novel crystal field effects in rare-earth compound erbium ferrate. Currently, my research is focused on quantum magnetism, specifically modelling the magnon spectra in helical spin systems SeFeO3 and CaFeO3, investigating time-dependent effects in skyrmion system Cu2OSeO3, and the discovery of a potential quantum critical point in multiferroic ErMnO3.

Project description:Ìý
My first project involves theoretical modelling of the magnon spectrum of the helical systems: cubic SrFeO3 and CaFeO3.
My second project is concerned with the investigation by inelastic neutron scattering of insulator Cu2OSeO3 (COSO) of time-dependent nucleation and decay of magnetic skyrmions.
My third project is related to the measurement and analysis of a potential quantum critical point (QCP) in multiferroic material ErMnO3.
