Student Experience
Students coming to »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ Canberra City will be joining part an inclusive and bustling community of students, academics and industry. The culture is yours to create and enjoy, and we're dedicated to facilitating clubs, societies, recreation, and activities to suit your needs.
In 2025, »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ has welcomed the first cohort of undergraduate students. We'll continue to grow within this space, and from 2028 onwards »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ will open new buildings on Constitution Avenue as part of our Parkes development.
Campus Life

We're a 10-minute walk to the City Centre, where there are cultural events, markets, pubs, clubs, restaurants and parks, and an endless number of coffee shops to try out. Join us at our first Orientation Day where we have organised a range of activities and events to get you started in your first term.Ìý
Industry
A huge part of our culture is being connected to industry. Launch is »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ Canberra’sÌýDefence and Security Innovation Hub located in Canberra. Launch is a collaborative workingÌýspace where we aim to create a vibrant and innovative environment where industry,Ìýgovernment, and academia can come together to collaborate onÌýdefenceÌýand securityÌýresearch and development. We currently host over a dozen companies and their 350Ìýemployees that span across cyber security, space, artificial intelligence, andÌýdefenceÌýtechnology.Ìý
Through our collaboration with »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ Founders, the Canberra Innovation Network, theÌý»Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ Career Discovery Mentoring Program (CDMP) and various other pathways,ÌýLaunch is a valuable resource for students who are looking for internships in theÌýdefenceÌýand security sector. The internships offered by Launch collaborators on Northbourne canÌýhelp students gain valuable experience, develop their skills, and make connections thatÌýwill help them succeed in their careers. We also host and facilitate networking events,Ìýtours, mentorship and learning opportunities for »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ students to visit our collaboratorsÌýand learn about the entrepreneurship and innovation journey.
