Key facilities & services

Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre (MWAC)

MWAC is the largest shared facility in Australia. It's made up of 25 labs that offer expertise, training, and instrumentation to enable breakthrough discoveries in fields such as medicine, material science, civil engineering and advanced manufacturing.

Chemical Consulting Lab (CCL)

CCL acts as a concierge to connect industry partners with the breadth of MWAC's analytical capabilities and instrumentation. CCL takes care of the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to invoicing, and coordinates across multiple labs on behalf of partners.

Research Technology Services (ResTech)

ResTech manages »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ's shared high-performance computing and data platforms. They facilitiate access to NCI's Gadi - one of the most powerful supercomputers in the world - and provide the tools to collect, store, share, and manage data as simply and securely as possible.

Research Imaging NSW (RINSW)

RINSW is a human imaging research facility that is fully integrated in the clinical environment of the Prince of Wales Hospital. Key areas of ongoing research include mental illness, ageing and dementia, focal epilepsy, cystic fibrosis, blood disorders, oncology and cancer predisposition syndromes.

3DXLab

3DXLab develops new ways to navigate complexity and facilitate understanding through the use of 3D computer animation, data visualisation, and virtual reality (VR) immersive design. The lab works on diverse projects from pilot training simulations to a molecular genomics VR experience that allows scientists to explore the inside of a cell.
