Pat Younis

For »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ Art & Design alum Pat Younis, merging physical and virtual spaces can shift our perspective of reality. In his work as an interaction and visual effects artist, he explores the world through a creative lens, gaining a feel for spaces before recreating them with virtual elements.

By engaging with »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ’s industry partners and learning from practising creatives, Pat was able to find his sense of identity through real-world experience and a spirit of experimentation that empowered him to reach the highest heights.

»Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ Business School alumna Catherine Hu is most inspired when she's working in a team that's creating something new. This is why she loves the tech industry. As Customer Solutions Manager for TikTok, she uses the skills and experience she gained at »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ every day, working at an organisation driving innovation in social media. 

Catherine credits the hands-on experience, broad business knowledge and transferrable skills she learned at »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ with giving her the base she needed to kick-start a career in an industry where her passion thrives.

Rachel McVittie

»Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ Engineering alumna Rachel McVittie has a passion for engineering. She doesn't just see it as her profession, but a skill that has allowed Rachel to understand the world around her.

She credits her lecturers for her success, with the support she received at »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ ensuring she spent her years of study not just surviving but thriving. She believes everyone needs people who believe in them and push them to be their best, and she found that at »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ.

Aymeric Maudous

A career in sustainability

“Anything can start from a tiny idea and grow into something which is just incredible that will really make a difference.â€

Aymeric Maudous believes we have a lot to learn from trees. After completing a Master of Environmental Management at »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ, Aymeric founded his own company from the ground up. Lord of the Trees is developing fully autonomous pre-programmed drones that replant deforested areas around the world.

Aymeric uses the interdisciplinary approach he learned during his master’s degree to lead a business that is helping to fight the climate crisis and build a sustainable future for us all. Like a tiny seed becoming a giant tree, Aymeric is driven by his passion for the natural world and inspired by the ever-growing global environmental movement.
