  • Companies must meet the following minimum requirements:

    • Actively raising capital.
    • Have a professional lead investor investing on the same terms as the offer.
    • ʹڲƱ is, or will become, a shareholder in the current capital raising round.

    Technology categories: quantum computing, defence, energy transition, artificial intelligence or life sciences.

    Onboarding process:

    1. Contact our team onbarkerstreetventures@unsw.edu.au.
    2. Complete our company information form.
    3. We verify your legal entity and approve registration.
    4. Provide your investment information pack, including your pitch deck, to GXE.
    5. Start raising capital.

FAQs

  • Investor registrations are managed by ʹڲƱ’s licensed platform manager, GXE. ʹڲƱ does not and cannot make any recommendation in relation to using the platform or investing in any entity. In general, participation in investment opportunities offered through Barker Street Ventures is for individuals and entities who qualify as “Wholesale Clients” under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). In accordance with section 708(8) and section 761G(7) of the Act, investors who meet the criteria for high net worth (HNW) investors or sophisticated investors may register.

  • is a fully licensed digital investment platform that allows us to digitise, automate and streamline the investment process for both investors and companies. Once registered, investors can shop around for offers. Eligible companies will be able to see investor commitments, number of investments and total amounts. All transactions occur securely within the platform and conform to Australian regulatory and accounting standards.

  • The Barker Street Ventures platform is managed by GXE, who is required to maintain cyber security measures. Your data is only accessible by you, and no third party will be able to see any of your data beyond the securities licensed holder.

  • There are no fees for companies selected to be included on the Barker Street Ventures platform.

  • The Barker Street Ventures will request key company information (company entity name, website, core team) and GXE performs an extensive background check. Provided all of your documents are in order, most companies are approved and able to create new deals and begin raising capital within a couple of days.

  • Details of the investment offers are determined by the companies, and therefore minimum and maximum investment amounts may vary significantly.
