The School of Built Environment at »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ offers an exciting WIL course as a gateway to working with a range of local and overseas built environment organisations that provide a first step to forging a career and building work-ready skills.

is an elective course available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. This WIL course provides you with the opportunity to apply the theory and skills learned while studying within a professional workplace in industry, government, non-government, or community organisation settings. Travel grants are available for some international placements.

For students in Bachelor of City Planning, we offer an exciting one-year practicum. Students who would complete 84UoC in the program will be contacted by City Planning Program DirectorÌýRyan van den NouwelantÌýin July each year. Students will be enrolled in PLAN3006, PLAN3007, PLAN3008, PLAN3009 and PLAN3010 over one year once you secure a host.Ìý

°Õ³ó±ðÌýSchool of Art & Design at »Ê¹Ú²ÊƱ offers an outstanding WIL opportunity through theÌý (PEP) program for Undergraduate students and for Postgraduate students, which are designed to equip students with grounded and sustained experience in a professional workplace environment.Ìý

PEP and Internship Programs offer every Art & Design student the opportunity to build additional professional skills and knowledge that can assist with making informed choices about future career pathways, complete practical work experience under the guidance of practicing professionals, and to accelerate establishing a professional network and links that may open graduate employment pathways.Ìý

PEP (ADAD3000) is undertaken by Undergraduate students enrolled in the Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Media Arts and Bachelor of Design. Internship program (ADAD9115) is undertaken by Postgraduate students enrolled in the Master of Animation and Visual Effects, Master of Media Arts, Master of Design and Master of Curating and Cultural Leadership.Ìý

Both programs are 150 hours in total, including 105 hours of professional engagement. This can take the form of a placement (internship) with an industry partner activity with a creative or design-led business, gallery or arts organisation.Ìý

°Õ³ó±ðÌýProfessional Experience programÌýfor both undergraduate and postgraduate students enables pre-service teachers to develop the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to plan for and manage successful classrooms. It aims to develop a strong commitment, enthusiasm and respect for the teaching profession and encourages pre-service teachers to engage with the broader community. The Professional Experience placements are in primary and secondary school settings.
